Brain Tumour Support’s aim is that no-one feels alone when facing the effects of a brain tumour diagnosis. The charity’s dedicated to being there for patients, carers, friends and families following a brain tumour diagnosis.
They offer an individualised support service which provides specialist information, practical guidance, emotional support, help coping with bereavement and much more.
Crucially, help is there for as long as it is needed, and that can often be years.

The South Gloucestershire Fibromyalgia Support Group have decided to move to quarterly meetings in different areas of the county to be more accessible to people living with fibromyalgia who may not be able to travel or attend evening meetings.
Fibromyalgia can be very isolating and debilitating, which is why ‘Fibro Friends’ will trial a more casual format, meeting in the mornings in Yate, Bradley Stoke, Winterbourne and Alveston once a quarter.
Other fibromyalgia social events will continue to meet on a regular basis:
• ‘Mad Hatters’ is a lovely way of meeting up in different cafés around the region for an opportunity to ‘chill’ with likeminded folk over a cuppa. (You don’t need to be ‘mad’ to join in but it helps!)
• Knit’n’Natter ~ (we call it therapy but no prizes for guessing which is the most productive!) We’d love you to join our regular knitters and crocheters and get to know each other better whilst producing lovely little beanie hats and cot blankets for the Neo Natal Unit at Southmead.
The new programme of events can be found on our website below and in the events calendar on this site. We look forward to welcoming members both new and old. For details please call 0844 887 2403 or click below.
