The village of Cromhall usually holds a Flower Show and Village Fayre on the first Saturday of September at 2pm on the St Andrew's School field. It's an open show, so entries are welcome from neighbouring villages and further afield.
There's a category for everyone, including home grown vegetables, fruit and flowers (e.g. from "the brightest flower in my garden" to "an unusual shaped vegetable”), through to home cooking, crafts and even photography.
There's entertainment and a fun dog show for children of all ages.
If you are a retired Senior Citizen living in or around Cromhall, you are invited to join our Tat3 group.
There are no joining fees or monthly charges. Twice a year we are entertained by St Andrew's Primary School and in the Spring and Autumn we go out for lunch, usually to one of our local garden centres.
For the remainder of the months, on the 3rd Thursday, we meet at 3pm in Cromhall Village Hall for tea, sandwiches, cakes and a chat.
Ring Ann 294200 or Eva 299251 for further information.

The National Garden Scheme is proud to say that 80% of money raised through opening gardens goes to health charities.
In our area, Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Bath there are almost 40 gardens to choose from, all described in the local 'Yellow book.' In South Gloucestershire 7 very different gardens open to visitors providing 'Great Gardens, Great Cakes!' Some will open for groups, at a time to suit you, 'By Arrangement'.
Details of all the gardens can be found on the National Garden Scheme website below, or you can download the smartphone app. On both you can search for gardens opening within the distance you are prepared to travel. So why not go ahead and plan the gardens you would like to visit?
The huge benefits of gardens and gardening to health and well being are now well recognised. You may feel you would like to become involved in this inspiring organisation. It's possible to volunteer in a small way by helping with serving teas, or you may even feel that your own garden could be enjoyed by others. Seeing the pleasure on visitors' faces and sharing your endeavours with others, whilst helping the NGS charities, has a huge 'feel good factor.'
