Falfield Ki-Aikido Club welcomes you to engage in the mysterious discovery of the power of your own ki through experiencing the art of ki-aikido! Over the Summer the cost of a first class will be half price at only £5.
At the Club we follow the teaching method of ki-aikido which originated with Tohei Sensei (1920-2011). He laid out a path which moved Aikido from its origins as a martial art to something more akin to a voyage of personal discovery.
Practice takes you through exercises of ki-development into the flowing partner movements of aikido. No starting level of fitness is required as the practice is non-competitive and 'ki' is not based on physical strength!
This has direct benefit for self-knowledge, self-confidence, and rapidly supports a greater freedom from stress in daily life.
It is an adult class but has no upper age restriction so all are welcome. You can just turn up in loose clothing at the Falfield Village hall dojo on a Thursday evening and try for yourself. You will be taught by Sensei John Dykes who is an Okuden master of ki with 40 years experience of the art.
