Armed Forces Day - A Virtual Thank You
South Gloucestershire's annual Armed Forces Day event is to show gratitude and appreciation to our past, present and future military forces from air, land and sea units.
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 this year’s Armed Forces Day event in Staple Hill has been cancelled. However, the committee would like to bring the community together to send a virtual thank you to all of our serving personnel and veterans.
If you would like to join us, send a video of no more than 60 seconds with who you are and where you are from, along with your message of thanks. All videos will be broadcast on the Armed Forces Day Facebook Page on 27 June 2020.
We are also seeking stories and pictures from veterans and serving personnel of their time serving. This can be anything from a funny story while on deployment or about some of the ‘interesting’ characters you met square bashing. Try to send a picture along with your story. Armed Forces Day is held in rotation around South Gloucestershire. Plans are now taking place for South Gloucestershire Armed Forces Day June 2021, to be held in Chipping Sodbury.
