We will welcome Penny Dommett to talk about and demonstrate the making of a winter wreath. Guests will be welcomed.
Our last meeting of 2022 was our ‘Christmas Party’, when we enjoyed a festive sit down meal with entertainment by Dan Budd and his Ukulele band who proved to be great fun.
At our January meeting we welcomed Vivien Craig who gave us a fascinating presentation on Dolls Houses and Miniatures supported by a varied selection of Dolls Houses and their contents. The workmanship involved in crafting these items was extremely impressive with particular emphasis on the fine needlework in making coverlets for furnishings and clothing for the miniature dolls. The detail was so fine it was hard to comprehend how such exquisite work could be done by hand. We followed this with afternoon tea and a raffle.
Vivien kindly judged our competition of miniature ornaments. First prize Valerie Vizard, second prize Ann Bennett, Third prize Rosa Taylor.
