CANCELLED - Tortworth Lake Open with Refreshments

Unfortunately we have made the difficult decision to cancel Tortworth Lake opening this Sunday, 7th April 2024.
Due to the amount of rain we've had recently the footpaths and car park are saturated, the safety of visitors is our first priority and sadly the conditions are not appropriate for this to go ahead.
The next Lake opening is due on Sunday 5th May, hopefully the sun will have made an appearance by then!
Tortworth Lake is private with no rights of access. The estate however welcomes the public to enjoy this special place on the first Sunday of each month from February to October only. Opening times are:-
February, March, September & October: 10:00am - 5:00pm
April, May, June, July & August: 10:00am - 6:00pm
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances Opening Times may vary. For updates on any changes, please check the estate’s Facebook page.
Raising funds for St Andrew's Church, Cromhall.
Local clubs and charities have for many years been selling refreshments on the open Sundays, helping raise funds towards their running costs. These have included, Tortworth, Cromhall and Charfield primary schools, RNLI, SARA, Charfield Junior Football Club, Mind Café and Castle School Thornbury.
