Spring Feast and Forage
Tortworth Arboretum
10am-4pm
Spend a relaxing day in the woods enjoying good food and company around the fire.
We will spend some time talking about foraging and more historical methods of cooking and food production, then concentrating on the more easily identifiable and readily available plants we will collect some out in the woods before returning to the round house to create a fresh lunch cooked over the fire.
Expect to make fresh butter and cheese flavoured with the plants we find along with a selection of other things such as drop scones, a fresh salad and maybe a herbal tonic all put together to create a light lunch to enjoy.
Who knows there may even be some acorn coffee to try for those who enjoy a hot brew.
