Community Speed Watch is a partnership between the Community, the Police, Fire Service, Parish Council, and County Council.
It aims to tackle the problem of speeding motorists, therefore improving the quality of life of the local residents.
A new Community Speedwatch group needs your help to try and reduce speeding through Cromhall.
Members spotted 25 vehicles breaking the speed limit in their first hour of monitoring traffic on the main road, and 33 in the second session.
The group would like more volunteers to maintain regular checks. If you can help, please contact them using the details above.
Volunteers maintain regular checks of traffic speed through Cromhall, and make a note of the number plate and description of those caught speeding.
The police will issue warning letters to those caught driving faster than 36mph.
Persistent offenders will receive a second warning letter, and on a third occasion, offenders can expect further action by police.
