Spring Open Day
Our annual open day is around the corner and we would love you to join us!
We will be opening the gates of the arboretum to visitors for the day, to share the results of our work over the past year and our mapping project.
Whether you have been volunteering for years with us or have always wanted to, why not come down and meet everyone, explore the woodland, and enjoy the results of all the hard work that is put into the woodland each week. It is bluebell season and we have never had so many wild flowers, a testament to all your support clearing the woodland floor.
We will be launching our new tree map and have our full tree list available for people to browse; with huge thanks to the amazing individuals who walked the whole woodland measuring the trees, and Heritage Lottery Fund for making it possible.
Jake will take visitors on a tree ID walk at 2pm, and we are very pleased to host a storyteller who will guide us on a walk through the trees, suitable for adults and children alike.
Campfire coffee and tea will be on offer throughout the day, you are welcome to bring snacks to share!
Please note as usual we have very limited parking. Please consider lift shares, we are working to gain access to one of the hotel's car parks for overflow parking. We are looking for help guiding guests to the car park, if you would like to steward please let Bec know.
Thank you, we hope to see you in the woods in May.
Dogs on leads are welcome - please note that we have goats!
Directions: Please head to GL12 8HH on sat nav, towards the Tortworth Court Hotel. As you turn on to the driveway to the hotel, after a couple of passing places you will come to a green metal gate set back on the right hand side just before a stone building. Turn into this gate and park up.
